Arctic cat seriel number decode

Does anyone have the ability to confirm or decode the specifics from a seriel number? I need to verify some claims from a dealer...

Thanks in advance for your help

I don't know if this is what your after but....
4UF08SNW17T00001
I believe 4UF is manufacturers number, 08 would be the year of machine, SNW is type of vehicle(snowmobile), 17T is for group produced going In numerical order(07T, 17T, 27T etc) and the last numbers are order they were built

If you are looking for info on a sled like recalls done to it, you can go to fun outfitters site. They can run your vin and give you the info.

I've posted this a bunch of times over the years
Quote:
The first digit represents the country of origin. The most common are:
  • 1 or 4 = USA
  • 2 = Canada
  • 3 = Mexico
  • J = Japan
  • K = Korea
  • E = England
  • W = Germany
  • Z = Italy
2nd and 3rd letters signify Arctic Cat

4th and 5th are model year
6-8 are type (SNW snowmobile, ATV, MPV prowler etc)
9th is a check digit
10th is the last digit of the year (9 = 2009, A=2010, B=2011, C=2012 etc)
11th is a "T" This one I don't know why, just that its always a "T"
12-17 are the "serial number"

the 11th character is the designator for the assembly plant, Cat has designated TRF as "T", and since this is the only plant that produces sleds it is a constant.....hope this helps.....
