Old school here also, 2 stroke only. My dirtbikes, my 4 wheelers, all of it. You guys can keep your expensive to rebuild, heavy to lift, geo metro sounding 4 strokes
I want to really enjoy my toys, and be able to work on them quickly. And 4 stroke is not where its at. My buddy who rides a 450 4 stroke, cant hang with my yz 250, which is lighter, faster, and down right more fun to ride.........nothing like "coming on the pipe". Plus, cost him a fortune when that thing breaks down. 4 strokes are way to complicated for me to want in my toys. They have their place, dont get me wrong, but not in my world in my toys. The EPA can stuff them up their asses and spin.
I actaully quit riding dirtbikes untill I was able to kick up a 2stroke. I couldnt stand riding a 4 stroke bike. Maybe when they actually make them perform on par, with the same size engine, as a 2 stroke, ill check them out again. If they were truly better, you wouldnt see them getting such a CC advantage when you are racing. To me, if your in the 125 class, you should be running a 125.......period.
I mean really, you have to double the engine size, and put a turbo on it to run with a 2 stroke. Thats not advancement in my world. Now in my cars, where the torque factor is much needed, Im all for it. I love my turbo IROC, and supercharged SS camaro. But, ill keep it under the hood of 4 wheels.............
