Might serve ya better to check out one of the Doo sites. Doubt you'll get a lot of responses. Try here. http://www.dootalk.com/

Although, I saw one last year on a pond, and she could go pretty good. I went over to him but he seemed a bit sheepish when I asked him about his sleds top speed. Guess he didn't want a beatin from a ZR!

Good luck.

There not a bad sled...actual HP #'s at the crank on a stock 583 run right around 90hp. The only thing about this chassis that I didn't like is that it has a lot of inside ski lift, but if your buddy is a fairly agressive rider, then it shouldn't be that big of a problem. The Rotax 583 is one of the most bulletproof motors out there, and there are a ton of hop-ups available for them. If he's into building a fast motor, tell him to look up "Dr. Don" Emery. He should still have his sight up (I think it was under DNE Performance) He does wonders with the rotary valve Rotaxes! I owned and raced a 99' MXZ 670HO for a few years and did a TON of work with my motor. I ran it in the IMP. stock 800 class, and it was still pretty competitave, belive it or not! If the price is right, I think that it would be a good sled for him. There ALL GOOD, untill they break!, even Ski-Poo! -Craig

they are just over 100hp(101hp at 7800rpm Dynotech for the 94 583)

I had a 95 583,17,098km when I sold it original engine comp still 140psi each side

I find it a stronger engine then my 01 600

get FLEX skis IMO

made a huge dif on my 95 583,still no ZR but rode ok

I wish to have the 583 in my ZR chassis
