Angry Arctic Cat International Shipping Restrictions

I have contacted 5 different American UTV Accessory websites within the last week. All have advised me that due to Arctic Cat's "new" shipping policies, they are unable to ship any Arctic Cat products outside of the USA. This is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. Every site that has responded, expressing frustration of their own, has allowed me to write back my concerns and offered to forward them to Arctic Cat HQ.
I'll be honest, never owning anything Arctic Cat before I was a little hesitant to purchase a new 2015 Prowler XT. However, I am now considering selling it for literally any other brand and never buying anything from Arctic Cat again.
I realize this restriction only affects citizens outside of the US but I'm sure statistics show that's a large market. The caveat to purchasing from only Canada being...there are products that are not available in Canada and can only be purchased from American companies.
I am extremely disappointed that I did not do more research into Arctic Cat before buying and am now eating my words with friends riding other machines.

If anyone can weigh in or has anything to add I am all ears. But time is short as I'll be considering different options soon.

Thanks Demo

Unfortunately both automakers and power sport makers are all heading that way. Don't blame cat for this blame the Canadian and other dealers that are not present in the US. They have all been complaining for years that they are loosing sales to the US as everyone is cross border shopping. So we have done this to ourselves. Personally i cannot see anything that you would need to purchase at a US dealer that you could not find aftermarket cheaper and probably better.
Also as a fyi i have found Canadian dealers that sell at the same price or cheaper than their US counterparts. The funny thing is these are little dealers out in the middle of noware that were smart enough to create a good web presence and it payed off

Always, always check Canadian pricing. I almost went to the U.S. for parts for my 03 400. Ball joints, bearings and such. Ball joints at countrycat.com in Sauk Centre, MN are 26.95 USD each. They are 29.95 CDN each here.
At the time I was looking, they were 57.95 in Canada.

If you need something from the US that is not available in Canada, I would find a friend in the US to purchase it and ship it to you themselves.

If you go to the U.S. once in a while, you can ship to a U.S. address who has a parcel pickup service. I have used Bernstrom Oil in Lancaster, MN to ship parts and other things to in the past. They charge 5 bucks per package. I think there's 4 places in Pembina, ND too. It's a 1 hour drive to either place for me if you just want to pick up your parcels and return home right away. Be aware of possible duty rates, depending on where part is made, if not part of your exemption and you will also pay applicable taxes.

That doesn't even make sense. How did we do this to ourselves? I'm looking for aftermarket parts that are not available in Canada. I really don't understand anything you wrote.

You're looking for aftermarket parts. What's that got to do with Cat? That doesn't make sense!

There should not be any genuine Cat accessory you cannot order from any Cat dealer in Canada. I can see Cat cracking down on U. S. dealers shipping to Canada to protect Canadian dealers. No different you can't buy a new sled down south.
