Thanks very much gentlemen. I appreciate the information.

Another question. I haven't taken the 500 for a good ride yet. It is currently wearing 27" Mudlite XTR shoes. Can the 500 spin these clean in the thick stuff.

Yes in low. The reason I ask is because in the pic below you see a Honda 420 that could not spin 25 inch bearclaw htrs when stuck here. My Honda 350 could not spin 25 inch bearclaw 299's here either. And I ride a lot of this stuff. And by not spin, I mean not spin at all. Low gear on my 350 is very low. It could spin the old stock tires easily in this stuff.

Thanks RTR. And doorfx, that's the nicest snorkeling job I've ever seen! Come do mine😁.

Here's a picture of the 500. It will never be this clean again!!

Ok. The next thing is a trickle charger. Never ever used one on the Honda. If it was left that long that it wouldn't turn over, one or two hauls on the pull cord and off to the races. But I think I'll get one for the AC. Is this all I need?

I know the cig lighter isn't a necessity, but seems pretty convenient. Will this work fine or is there a better setup? Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong. If you're spinning, your tires are not grabbing anything. If you can't spin, your tires are grabbing something and your quad doesn't have enough torque to turn tires. Probably why you don't see a 400 Mudpro lol.

Sure you can spin and have traction. Just not 100% traction. Your second point, quad doesn't have enough torque to turn the tires, is exactly what I'm asking: Can the 500 spin these tires in the thick stuff.

I have spun my 26" Bearclaw HTR's in low with my 400 but not as deep of mud where you were. I don't think I would be able to in your mud pit. Not sure on 500.

I have my doubts that the 500 will do it either with the 27". My thinking is if a 420 (I know it's Honda, and kind of low power but it is not belt driven) can't spin 25 Bearclaw HTR's, then my Arctic Cat 500 won't spin 27 inch Mudlite XTR's. I could be wrong. I think I'm going to put 26 inch Bearclaw HTR's on the 500 (same as your tires). I think that is a nice tire for this quad.

How are your HTR's wearing? Do you think they'll have a long life? I've never had them before. I have used Bearclaw 299's, but never HTR's. The HTR's in the pic are on my neighbor's quad. They're brand new, so no idea on the wearability.
