Question Gas pouring out bottom of carb?

My sister has a 2005 300 4x4. Gas is pouring out the bottom of the carb where the drain port is in the float bowl. Is this a drain port or an over flow? There is a screw right there that I made sure was tight but gas still leaks out. Does it need a new drain screw or is the float or something stuck?

Thanks.

Float is stuck, try tapping it with a hammer. Make sure you mix SeaFoam or something with your gas at all times.

Could also have a piece of dirt in the seat or the needle/seat is worn out. Install an inline filter to stop the dirt and put a one way check valve on that line to stop dirt/crud getting in through the overflow tube

Thanks guys, I'll check the float. I'm pretty sure there is already an inline filter.

"drain screw or is the float "
It does both. Loosen the screw and the bowl drains.

It's also an overflow for the bowl.
Yup^^ too much gas in the bowl caused by a float/needle that is open, dirty or stuck.

I took the carb apart. Everything looked fine. Took the float and needle out, sprayed some carb cleaner and cleaned all the jets. Put it back together, still dripping out the bottom. Took it apart a second time, cleaned stuff again. Pull the drain screw out, sprayed in there. There was minor dirt maybe. Put it back together and it seems to be working for now. I drove it around the yard and no gas was leaking. I'll keep an eye on it.

If it starts leaking again I guess I'll replace the needle valve and the drain screw. How do you replace the seat? Looks like it's pressed into the carb?
