Filter and Oil

Just got a used 2004 Arctic Cat 400 AT
Looking to change the filter and oil.
I was told I should not use regular motor oil and only put in ATV oil. It call for 10-40.
Any responds would be helpfully
Thanks

Yes only use ATV oil or wet clutch certified oil, I personalty use Rottella T 5w 40 in the winter and 15w 40 in the summer, its all just a preference, just DO NOT put anything that isn't wet clutch certified, on the back with all the certifications If its wet clutch safe it will say JASO-MA.
