This is the warranty that I have that was included in the standard promotions. I would not have spent any extra money on an extended warranty.

There is a $50 deductable after the 6mo

I think in my case I'll have them prorate the remaining 2 years and give me a refund. Since the warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on I feel this is my best option. I'm pretty good with wrenches so I'll probably just repair the machine myself.

My warranty cards just showed up in the mail for my machine. Only 3 years and 4 months after I purchased it!

I've now rebuilt the motor myself during this whole fiasco so I'm sure that they would never pay a claim after the customer put wrenches to the machine. I am wondering if they would warranty something unrelated to the motor yet (diff seal, brakes, etc...) if something were to go wrong?

I still haven't received warranty cards either. Purchased 1 1/2 years ago.
I have still been able to get warranty work done though, the dealer just has to call into Cornerstone for your number to submit the claim.

i have the 2 year plan on my new cat and they replaced the fuel pump and speed sensor for free...

all extended warrantys are a gamble... the company takes the gamble that your product will last past the warranty period so they can collect the price you spent on the warranty and you take a gamble that your atv will break or need more parts than what the price of the warranty was.

I myself buy them on some things and not on others but to each their own

I think one of the Cornerstone reps I talked to said the dealer has the option to keep some/all of the money from the sale of the extended warranty. But then they are responsible for fixing the machine. Which would make sense as to why I was getting the runaround at the dealer. They couldn't submit a claim if they kept the money. So they would be looking at eating the cost of a motor rebuild. Which I am sure they would be willing to do anything to avoid. It's probably worth it to them to have one mad customer than to pay for a major repair.

I bought my 2012 550i LTD last fall and they had the same promotion, $50 deductable after the 6mo in the US as well.
