Crank Vent Tube/Inspection

Just a heads up to all of you that still have the stock crank vent tube.
I looked at mine on the machine and it looked fine, but I decided I would do the looped crank vent mod while I had it all apart. When I removed the stock one and gave it a squeeze, lo and behold it was cracked right through at the clamp on the engine side. So to be sure I would remove yours and give it a good look, that's one place you sure don't water getting in.Spring is close!

Yes you do. It's a 1/2" formed hose that runs from the top of the crankcase to the bottom of the air box. Very handy, drains the water from the airbox straight into crankcase in the event of a swamping. Great way to end the days riding.

09 first run MudPro
SLD welded
Speedwerx 42# wet clutch springs
Secondary clocked to B-3
150 grams of Speedwerx rollers
Speedwerx pipe
Breather looped
Cooler racked
Strobes from Pondtunes (should be worth 10hp right?)

If you have to replace it, do the loop mod, just in case.

If you have snorkels on your unit does one still need to do this looped crank case vent hose mod? And just what exactly is it, just a looped hose? Any pics of one anywhere that I can see?
