Cat's got 'em. Trust me, I know this well. They've got blanks then you take them to your friendly local key cutting place.

Just be carfeul, they have a couple of different ones. The ones that i got were wrong. The offset was backwards, and cat charged 6 bucks a piece for them uncut.

The dealer I take mine to was suppose to be getting me two keys that I have not recieved yet. They said the could get them precut form AC with the vin# and they could not be cut any where else. After 4 weeks I did not get them and called they then said they could not get them with the Vin# but had to have the number off the key which makes a lot of sence if you lost the key and do not have that number.lol
My vehicles have always been replacable with either. After three more weeks I still have not recieved them.
I always panic after I load it and go someplace and when I get there I left it in the the ignition and it vibrated out or I missed my pocket or left it on the trailer. Just paranoid I guess.

Thanks for the information on the blanks! I will check at the local dealer and not the one that does my work he is 50 miles away.

I think it's a good idea to go ahead and make an extra spare now, before you lose one of your others. You can hide the 'new' spare in your car/truck so that you will always have an extra key with you if needed. I need to get a couple of spares made...

There should be a code stamped on your key that you can give cat to order you an exact copy. Just take the rubber thing off and it should be there.

when i got my cat it came with two keys-one with the rubber grip that says "arctic cat" and one non-grip key and i think, but am not certain if i remember this corectly, but i do think i remember the dealer saying hes got a copy of each key for every quad sold-for service and incase you loose the TWO keys you could make one up.

Like ososlow said....I took my key in, there is a number stamped on your key under the rubber, thats what the dealer needs and he'll get you how ever many keys you want for about 8 bucks.
