Ok this is an off the wall question, but has Arctic Cat ever made a 6 wheel utility bike? If so, what is the name of the model and what years did they make them?

didn't polaris 6x6's have shaft to the first (or forward ) rear axle and then a chain to the rear axle off the first?

Im not sure about the older ones but the new ones are shaft driven. They make those at a different plant now so I dont get to see them anymore

The earlier 6 wheelers Polaris made were all chain drive. About the time they dropped the 2 stroke motor they went to shaft drive up front but the rear continued to be chain drive and this is how they are today.
I owned two in my life and beat the snot out of them and never once broke a chain. But I also kept mine adjusted correctly. Untill extreme mudtires became popular a 6 wheeler was impossible to follow by a regular 4 wheel ATV. Now a good 4wheel atv with aggressive mudtires can keep up with them. Five years ago I bet half the atv's I seen out hunting in Alaska were Polaris 6 wheelers.
