Electrical grounding out

One of my brake light wires are constantly grounding out under my tunnel,so my lights/gauges etc... hardly stay on. theres 3 wires that go to my brake light. if i just cut them will it stop grounding out? I dont care if i wont have a brake light.

Find the short and tape it up, not a hard thing to do. Even if you have to splice in a new piece of wire it's still a cake walk

Are you out riding like right now or what? Why can't you get to it?

If i could get at the short i would have already taped it up but like i said its under the tunnel running along the heat exchange hose under a metal plate thats riveted on. so its not accessible.
