You will need to get the adapter wire form your dealer that connects to the accessory plug (which as stated earlier is behind the stearing column plate.)

I would recommend connecting to a wired female plug, secure it (zip-tie it to something) but leave a few inches loose so if you walk away with out unplugging the loose wire will line up your cord plug and unplug with out damage.

i just bought a 2007 F5 lxr for my wife. Does this sled have an accessory plug behind the steering column plate too?

Which part are you looking for? The part that you plug into on the sled, or from the helmet to the sled? And which helmet hook up do you have? Is it a RCA style plug or a small one that you quarter turn in for the older PPF helmets?

i was looking at my wifes F5 LXR. there is a plug to the rear of the battery that has a black and brown wire with a male/female connector. is this an accessory plug too? i'm not sure how to get to the plug behind the steering column plate. this plug i found next to the battery isnt hooked to anything.
