if you are going 85 honestly greg you are the man you have to mat the little 600 to get that speed unless on ice

running rail grades and held it to the handle bar most of the time. The Sled will run about 85-90 at 3/4 throttle. Wide open it would top out about 95-96 once it got over 600 miles on the sled. It did not like going over 90 and you really had to hold it down to get the last 4 or so mph out of it. Here are some pictures the day before christmas. People said there was no snow and no one was out riding. The trails were perfectly groomed and I saw maybe 6 sleds the entire day. I left at noon, road 200 miles and was back by 4. I will also post a picture of what running the little 6 like that will do to the belt. The 800 gets way better belt life. I will probably get an 800 for my next sled

that is why i refuse to ride in minnestoa. first time I ever did I got a 125 dollar speeding ticket. I think I have ridden in MN maybe 6 times the entire time I lived here. If i started riding in mn I would probably ride 4000 miles a year instead of my usual 2-3000. However my season might done for this year with a just under 500 miles.

Sorry, but the 600 run normally will be way better on belts. 1000 miles to my first deflection adjustment. 8" powder running, the clutches were cool as a cucumber last year after a 15 mile run. Mine anyway. 800's have been belt eaters in previous years. Would not take one if it was free. I love my 600. Best sled I have ever owned and I have owned a lot.

I love Minnesota as at my age, speed means nothing anymore. I was in the U.P. 4 times years ago. Saw NOTHING as everything was wide open. I have gotten to the point where where friends and the scenery beats out balls to the walls. To each there own. Expecting 2000 this year. Best snow in 4 years.

Greg if you have Cat clutches try a torsional secondary. I did the BMP kit on mine. No performance gains but I have over 4000 miles on my current belt and I run pretty hard. Not as hard as I use to though.

After a couple of whiskeys last night I had an idea to go check something that would possibly make me think the motor was seized when it in fact is not. Turns out I slept alot better knowing my motor was not seized! Can't believe I didn't check it before hand. I bet some of you know what it was. Still a little concerned with the lack of oil usage so I dropped it off at a Cat shop for further inspection.
