Clutch calibration 2016 ZR 6000

Got right at 1000 miles on my 16 ZR 6000 LTD 137. Overall very happy with the sled. Installed a set of Yamaha tuner 3 skis and it handles like it is on rails, no darting in any conditions. The one little thing that is bugging me is I don't think the clutching quite dialed in. 8000 rpms is the max I ever see. Realize tach maybe off but it just doesn't seem to pull as hard as my 14 El Tigre did. Isn't any adjustment on secondary for rpm other than a different spring. Talked to dealer, felt one step lighter primary weights would be the thing to try. Anyone else have a 16 6000 they feel the clutching is maybe a speck off?

My sled is rock solid at 8150 rpm's, I've never had a sled hold rpm's the way this one does.

Who is making a clutch kit for the 600's?

I have a 15 ZR6000R-XC and found a Black/Bluestripe spring in my primary and 64GRAM weights. It was crazy fast but couldn't cruise around on it because it engaged at 5200RPM. I just put a Green spring(which the book said comes stock) in it. It's way easier to ride at 20MPH with the wife now. HAHAHA and when I hammer it pulls hard and when I look down tack is 8050RPM and I need a bigger straight away because it going too fast to hold it and look down again. Need to get it on the lake but it's PUUUURRRFFFFECT now. Point being.....maybe you should check what you should have in it....and see if it's correct.

It's there on their site. I've seen it. The black n blue stripe in ryhno's is a Speedwerx h5 spring. 20 mph cruising isn't easy especially if belt deflection is off I find but it does pull good and hard and will sit at 8100-8150 at wot. Not sure if other 6000's have the notched 64 weights but the RXC does. It's a little snappy off the line even with trying to be easy on the throttle. Doesn't bother me at all though right now.

Spent some time on a '16 ZR 6000 two weeks ago. My wife has a '15 el tigre 6000 so I was anxious to compare. IMO the clutches would engage rather abruptly and really give you the sling-shot off-the-line. I would NOT want anything more aggressive than that set-up. I noticed when following the '16 ZR 6000 everytime we stopped (like at a road crossing) she would spin the track a bit everytime we took off. Not intentionally, but the clutches grab hard when you give it the gas. Obviously this is not a touring sled so smoothness and a gentle engagement is not the goal. Other than that, I felt the clutching was spot on and that sled absolutely hauls a$$.

You know I think I saw H5 at the beginning of the numbers written on the spring but didn't think much about it. How does a speedwerx spring get in my brand new RXC?? Cat set them up like this?? My mind is blown now but I did like the hit and easy enough to change. The snow has been crap in New England so just been putting around the house that setup needs to be when I'm racing my buddies....not riding with my wife. HAHAHA
