2018 bearcat 2000XT

Wanted to ask the group here if anyone has heard anything about the 2018 model. With the discontinuation of the 570CC 2 stroke I'm curious to see what they'll put for a mill in the best selling bearcat model for 2018. Thoughts?

Are they keeping the twin- spar chassis? Without a fan cooled motor, there goes the entry level Bearcat LT and Lynx lineup. The 500 2 stroke liquid would be a good choice.

I think you may be right. The 65hp 700 wouldn't be enough power for it though. I'm told that the 700 is seriously detuned to make 65hp and that they would bump up the power to accommodate the bigger track and heavier sled. My bet is that you see the twin spar chassis go away in favor of the ProUte.

I dont understand how the 700 4s would not be enough power in a sled that is currently powered by a 570 2s.
They make the same HP and the 700 makes a bunch more torque...

Yep it's the power to weight ratio. I have a 3000LT bearcat and that engine will only power the sled to 50-60mph. It's got GOBS of Lower end torque though.

Gearing in the 3000 LT is 19/50. The 2000 XT has 54/66.

I think they do that because the powerband on a 2 stroke develops at a much higher RPM. 4strokes make the torque right from an idle.

For sure, but gearing would still be different from these two for a widetrack chassis unless they do a dual/WR3 transmission
