my single carbides are prone to darting on icy trails but it's not like I'm trying to win any speed records with my 151 inch track "tank" i mean sled

If it handles like my old 93 Pantera did with blow-molded skis and single carbides, I'll be happy. I have read some guys said theirs was downright dangerous but that could have been ski alignment and ski pressure.

We just got 10" and I got to ride with the dual carbides and sway bar for the first time. Unless you're going to be bush whacking, I'd definitely recommend the sway bar kit. It keeps the outside ski planted and definitely helps in cornering by keeping the heavy sled from rolling out when turning (I don't have adjustable front shocks on the XTE). It dramatically improves the handling of the sled on flat ground. Haven't had the dually's on any sort of packed stuff yet, but I'm guessing the added keel effect of the larger carbide is helping the steering as well. I went 4" and steering effort isn't noticeably more difficult.

I got sway bar kit installed even before I picked up sled as per your advice. All my sleds had one so new sled had to get one too. I'm going to try my originals first and then install my T660 ones to see what they are like before buying. I pretty well know what's going to happen anyways, but i'll give it a try first.

Went out for a 70 mile ride today. Trails had a lot of snow on them. They were still closed and have not been groomed yet. Sled handled pretty good even though I still think dual runners might be better as it didn't respond like I'm used too in the corners. I'm going to switch runners with my T660 to try it out before I buy new ones. The ride is really smooth and handled the bumps with ease. Came across a downed tree that I just got under. Have to get used to spreading your legs a bit more across the 22" tunnel. Although standing up is much easier on this chassis. Gas guage read half when I finished ride. Not sure of accuracy and how much gas actually used. Have to finish off the mixed gas for break-in. Overall, I'm very happy in buying the XT.

Went out yesterday on a 98 mile ride. Lots of snow out there now. Some ditches are full of the soft stuff you just sink in. Man, the XT can be a tank to maneuver in the soft stuff. Oh well, it makes you tougher I guess lol. Trails were groomed and a few riders had been on them. I was all over the place as I never did try my dual carbides but after ride I noticed ski alignment wasn't right with too much toe-in. I fixed it and will see how it rides on the weekend. Turned idle down as 2200 was too high. It's roughly 1700 now and better. Not sure if I want it down to the 1500 that the manual says. Belt broken in, mixed tank gone through so it's ready to show what it's capable of now.

Looks awesome 660catman. 2017 is the last year with the 570FC Motor. I'm curious to see what they put in the 2018 model for a mill. It's nice to see a few utility guys on this forum. I'm in Fort Frances Ontario. 2016 7000xt bearcat & a 2016 3000lt bearcat.

I've been going back and forth from the 600 saber cat and my 570 bear cat but i don't know why the 570 is such a smooth ride i really love that sled it is all over the place with the single carbs. but once i stop putting parts on the 600 will treat the bear to some upgrades
