2016 Bearcat 7000XT

Just picked up the sled and have now put on about 100 miles. It's impressive. The Yamaha engine makes smooth power and the gear selectable transmission in the proute chassis offers smooth power to the track. I really can't see this thing getting stuck. In superlow I'm able to boondock through the woods very easily breaking trail.

Hi,

Do you have the problem with the torsion spring in the rear suspension being too "weak"?! When I have put the torsion spring on the MAX setting it still bottoms out when driving with a passenger.. I can of course use the overload spring, but in my opinion it gets to stiff then...

apart from that I am very happy with the new bear cat, it's much improved regarding the old model! =)

Yes! I do put the torsion spring back to 1st position when engaging the overloads!

I actually looked in the riders manual and discovered that it's possible to make the torsion spring actually stiffer by repositioning the "spring-slide". There are actually 5 positions there.

I will try that

You guys have great sleds, I'm jealous. How do you like the ski's so far? Thinking about getting a set for my T660 as they do fit. I need better flotation in the deeper stuff.

I personally really like the new wide ski's for the new BearCat! They float very well in deeper stuff! =)

The entire point of the "over load" springs is to be used when there is a passenger. You should be able to just flip then up, and not have to mess with any other settings

I haven't encountered that issue. I regularly load mine up with gear. If I'm super heavy I use the overload springs. They are stiff initially but they do wear in over time.

I am seriously thinking of buying one. Just bought a brand new Yamaha Venture TF but didn't like the track noise. Sold it after riding 200 km.
Is the Bearcat smooth? Quiet? I know the engine is fabulous..same as the Venture.

You Won't get away from the track noise. The bearcat is awesome but not the quietest sled on the market.
