tire sizes

This is probably a dumb question but when it comes to 4x4 wheelers my knowledge is limited. I have a 1998 Arctic Cat 300 4x4 and I am looking into new tires. I am having a really hard time finding the stock front tire size it is a 24x9x12. Am I able to just do the same size as the rear and use a 25x10x12?

If your looking for a great all around tire in the stock size i recommend the AMS Swamp Fox, or Carlisle Black Rock tires.

Also you DO need to run a smaller size in the front or you will end up damaging the front diff as its geared different than the rear.

Yeah I figured they were different sizes for a reason and that it would mess up the gears to alter but I wasn't positive. I really like the tread on those swamp foxes and they are very reasonably priced as well. I am finding that a 24x8x12 is much more common than a 24x9x12 can I go with an 8 where it is not any taller?

I think I am going to get the 2 inch lift and go with 26x11x12 in the rear and 25x10x12 in the front what do you think?

That's awesome! I am glad I have heard from someone that it will work. Did it cause you to lose a lot of power?

With the M.S.T.s i lost a little power on the bottom end(most noticeable in the thick mud,)(heavy tire), but i didnt notice any diff. with my Bighorn 2.0s.
