Personally I really like the new panels and if the 800 is as reliable and strong as the 600, it should be very competitive with the Doo 850. I don't think Cat needed a new chassis. DooTalk has guys on it who bought Sidewinders this year and absolutely love them and say the rear skid is very close to the R-motion but Cat's front is better than Doo's. (Of course they'd never buy a ThunderCat due to Cat clutches).
Cat's not going to have 2 different chassis; one for the yami 4 strokers and one for Cat 2 strokers (plus a third in the Bearcats). Whatever engines they make are going to have to fit into one overall chassis.
The mountain proclimb did get some reworking as it is called the "Ascender" platform with being 10% narrower (should be between 2-3 inches) with better track approach angle, narrower boards, etc but still on a Proclimb chassis.
