T660 Temperature Guage Add

Took the advice of veterans of the T660 sleds and added a temperature guage. I didn't feel the need to go all out with a rad install. I have never really had overheat issues but I was a bit concerned back in late March driving on ice only and not knowing what the engine temperature is at. Found very little snow across the lakes we were on, never mind the trails through the bush.
Have Ice Scratchers on order for both my sleds. Thanks to guudasitgets, kopeck, and paintballdude05 for sharing their experience with T660 cooling issues and their remedies.

With a radiator it stays at 185 degrees no matter what

No point, just thought it would have been a higher temperature one.

With scratchers my sled stays at 180 no matter what.

Well they do requires at least a little bit of snow, more then's on the ground right now!

after I put the radiator in I wanted to install a higher one but the Cat parts lists only one. Incidently a Buick 3800 V6 thermostat fits. So I was going to get one of those about 195 degrees so it would run a tick more efficiant. It is nice though when you can run it for 10 or 15 minutes while your still inside the bar putting your clothes on and it's never going to get hotter, And all the ice scratchers in the world won't let it do that

Guud, I saved all your photos and one was the GM thermostat. Again in the 10 years I've had my T660, last year and at the end of the season was the only time I was worried. This is why I decided to not add rad. Without remote start, I will never let my sled idle while I'm out of sight of it. Then again, I could lock it up to my Sabercat that has remote start.
Now we just need snow. I'm getting tired of just looking at the sleds.

This is pic that guudasitgets sent me. I put mine in same spot. You need to buy base gasket from Cat. Guages were not stock and where is sensor located?
