t660 fuel odor

I have a 05 t660 with a strong fuel odor. I hav e checked everything I can think of including pressure testing and smoking the fuel tank. there is a little fuel in the vapor line but not dripping out. any help?

you notice this more after putting gas in or????Check the routing of the gas tank overflow,,,

The vent line was pinched at front of tank. I rerouted the line with a with the dip in the hose next to the reverse lever and still ending in front of your left foot although the end of the hose is a little higher as the remaining hose is alittle shorter due to the reroute. I have since added 6 inches of hose to get it right on the belly pan. I have changed the fuel cap, checket the seal under the fuel pump - sending assembly.
Checked for leaks and stains and still get a strong smell of gas on hard acceleration or on rough trails. I have three other t660s that don't do this.

i get a fresh gas smell if i fill the tank really full, I just assumed that if I filled it right up to the neck and bounce around that some gas will make it out of the vent/overflow.

Had a look at the tank in the parts manual and found a threaded plug at the front of the tank about 4" in center, right beside the fuel filter.

Not sure why this plug/drain is located where it is, but there it was when i had a look under the hood. And sure enough there was avery slow leak of fuel from around the threads. The manual shows the plug as being wrapped in Teflon tape when installed....so it looks like it just needs to be retaped with Gas-teflon tape and put back in.
