Hi,
I would like to hear from those of you that studded your Z1 Turbo LXR. What's your advice for the best setup, type, manufacturer, etc.? I'm in the process of either purchasing a 2009 or 2010. I'm leaning towards the 2010 due to having (fingers crossed) the 2009 issues resolved. In either case I believe the Z1 Turbo has a single ply cobra track. As for carbides, I've had great luck with the Bergstrom 8" triples. Thanks for your help, Ray

Just ordered a 2010 Z1 Turbo LXR. Just came upon the following letter to all dealers from Arctic Cat. Looks like I'll be getting the Ripsaw track instead of the Cobra.

RE: Single-Ply Track Applications
Dear Arctic Cat Snowmobile Dealer,
Arctic Cat engineering has determined that the models listed below will be manufactured
with a 15-in. x 128-in. x 1.25-in. Ripsaw 2-Ply Track (p/n 2602-046) instead of a
15-in. x 128-in. x 1.352-in. Cobra Single-Ply Track (p/n 2602-255).
F6 Sno Pro, F8 Sno Pro, F8 Sno Pro LE
Z1 Turbo LXR, Z1 Turbo Sno Pro, Z1 Turbo Sno Pro LE
Due to this change, application information listed on pages 128-130 of the 2010 Arcticwear &
Accessories catalog is now inaccurate and will need to be updated. If you have placed your preseason
order, you may need to adjust your track and traction order quantities. Please contact your
call center marketing coordinator to change your order.
Listed below is an updated 2009-2010 snowmobile track application chart. Please add this
information to your 2010 Arcticwear & Accessories catalog.

You'll be happy with the Ripsaw. No more Cobra for me, put a 136" Ice Ripper Xt on it for this season.

Thanks for the input. It does appear to be a better track. I'm up in the air about studding. Not so much for speed, but stopping power.
