Ok, here goes. Have any of you TZ1 riders figured out how muck fuel your tank really holds? The spec. sheet says 10.8. Just wondering what it really is.
The reason behind this is, that if it's possible, I'm going to try to fit one of these into my Jag. I'm in the process of finding out if it can be done.
I know some will think it's crazy, but it's my deal. The way I ride, I need more range. Simple as that. Chris at Tour Buddy said last week that they might not release a tank for the Jag next year.
I know going from 9.5 to 10.8 isn't much, but the extra gallon or so can make a difference. I emptied my Jag tank completely and it took 9.5 to the top, though I don't know when it will stop picking up fuel. Also, carrying around gallon jugs, is not an option for me.
I usually keep my sleds for around 15,000 miles, so any changes will pay for themselves in the long run.

Mine seems to hold the claimed 10.8 I do wish it held more though.

My T660 holds 12, combine that with it's better milage and the TZ1s tank feels small.

Sent you a PM...

My 2012 TZ1 Turbo LXR holds 11.8 gallons and most days that is good for 140 miles. But I try to never go more than 120

Yes I am sure and I know what the spec calls out. They are short about .8 gallons most of the time. The don't fill to the top. I started with a dry tank and measured going in.

You're talking about the "reserve".

Yeah, they can hold more then the listed 10.8 but technically all the TZ1s and 2009+ Z1s have the same size tank. I still can't figure out why the '08 Z1 got the smaller tank other then AC using up parts they had left.

Isn't that what I just said?

The only thing I added was that the '08 TZ1 has a 10.8 and the '08 Z1 maintained the smaller 9.8 tank like your '07. After that model year everything had the 10.8 gallon tank.
